Repairs & Diagnostics

Electrical gremlins sorted fast. From a blown fuse to a full rewire — we diagnose and repair any auto electrical fault on any vehicle. No drama, no guesswork.

Fix It Right,
First Time

Electrical problems are the most frustrating vehicle issues — intermittent, hard to replicate and easy to mis-diagnose. With proper diagnostic equipment and years of hands-on experience, we find the real cause quickly so you're not paying to swap parts that don't fix the problem.

We handle everything from basic fuse replacement and battery testing through to complex wiring faults, accessory installations and full electrical system overhauls. Cars, utes, 4WDs, vans and commercial vehicles — we've seen it all.

Fault finding & diagnostics — scan tool diagnostics, wiring tracing, short and open circuit location
Alternators & batteries — load testing, replacement, charging system diagnosis
Lighting — LED conversions, spotlights, driving lights, work lights, light bars and wiring
Accessory wiring — towbar electrics, 12V sockets, compressors, winches, fridges, water pumps

Electrical Repair FAQs

A flat battery can have three causes: a failing battery that no longer holds charge, a faulty alternator that isn't recharging it, or a parasitic drain — something staying on and drawing power when the vehicle is parked. We load test the battery and alternator first, then perform a parasitic draw test if needed to trace the exact source.
Yes. Rodent damage is unfortunately common in rural Victoria. We trace all affected wiring, repair or replace damaged sections with quality cable and properly insulate and protect the repair. We can also add rodent deterrent tape and cable protection where it's accessible.
Absolutely — towbar wiring is one of our most common jobs. We supply and fit 7-pin flat, 7-pin round and 12-pin trailer plugs, and wire them correctly for your vehicle's electrical system including brake controllers if required.
Yes — properly wired with correct cable sizing, circuit protection (fuses and circuit breakers) and quality connectors. We don't take shortcuts that cause issues down the track. If you're adding multiple accessories, we can incorporate them into a dual battery system at the same time.
Intermittent faults are what separates experienced auto electricians from parts-swappers. We use proper diagnostic procedures — checking stored fault codes, examining wiring under load and looking for poor connections or chafed wires — to find the root cause, not just chase symptoms.
